Bodywork Pictures

( Late September 2005 )

For temporary patching, I thought I'd try my hands at fibreglassing and went to town. It was not pretty, but it seem to get better as I moved onto the Driver's side quarter. After patching up the big holes, I had had enough of the fibreglass resin and got out the Mono-Foam to finish it off.

At the time, all the patching has to do was to seal up the car and hold until I could get some Inner Wheel Wells and then we could replaced all the rotten rusty metal and weld on the new wells & half quarters. I didn't do that good of a patching job and there was no way I would be able to pass any kind of safety, so it was back to square-one and wait till I could get the metal work done.

Kyle got his hands on some black paint and a paintbrush and had a little fun, while I had to basically shave my head because I had some much resin in my hair.

The more I picked at the rear quarter behind the wheel, the more it cumbled ...

That's it, I quit ... where are those new inner wheel wells ... Let's get this done right! I've had enough !!

At first I was having fun playing with the fibreglass, hoping I could make some fenders and patch things up abit until the money was around to buy new inner wheel-wells and then we'd be able to cut out/off the old half quarters, and remove the rotten wheel wells and weld in the new ones, which were purchased with the car.
